THE LIVABLE FREDERICK MASTER PLAN
THE ACTION FRAMEWORK
is the set of shared goals and initiatives that communicate the things we must work on as we progress into the 21st Century. These stem from and build on the narrative that delineates a Common Vision for Frederick County and that establishes four major vision themes:
GOALS provide targets and benchmarks with which we can measure our progress over time. INITIATIVES provide us with a list of exciting things to do, allowing us to chart our progress, share responsibility, manage costs, and adjust our course when necessary.
The Livable Frederick Master Plan Action Framework is composed of four parts that correspond to the four themes established by the Common Vision.
Policies within this theme address the underlying substrate our our community composed of the infrastructure, community facilities, housing stock, and cultural resources that enable the county to function and prosper.
Policies within this theme reflect a holistic attitude toward public health that integrates the influence of the physical environment and individual behavior, as well as the availability of services.
Policies within this theme address the inter-relationship between education, economic growth, and social resiliency and focus on strengthening our assets while building our capacity for new and innovative approaches.
Policies within this theme address the relationship between our own growth and development and the vital role of the natural, physical world as a resource and as an essential ingredient to support vital and livable communities.
